Where do you swim? We'll check tides, sewage, wind and sea temperature nearby.

For places that aren't EA bathing waters — a lake, a hidden cove, a river spot.
🔔 Alert me when it's very good
One push for the best swim in the next 24 hours — and only if it scores
90+. At most one a day, nothing between 22:00 and 06:00, and never the
same window twice.
In winter the cold sea is forgiven (it's the season, not a fault), so what's left is the
honest test: very light wind and no sewage. In late summer the 90 means
what it says — warm water as well as calm and clean.
ⓘ How to read this
The top line is the answer. Under it are the five numbers it came from — the
icon says which reading it is, the colour says whether it's a problem:
green fine ·
amber caution ·
orange poor ·
red avoid.
spills within 5 km, and how old the sewage feed is. A spill still counts for 48 h after it stops.
wind · under 10 10–18 over 18 mph
sea · over 18 15–18 under 15°C (wetsuit)
rain in the 48 h before the swim · dry over 10 over 20 mm
the EA's own pollution forecast for this beach, where it has one — it models the same rain plus UV, tide and wind, so where it speaks it replaces the rain row above rather than adding to it
high water, tide range, springs or neaps — springs shrink the window on a flat beach
Why 83?the full 0–100 arithmetic: 100 minus wind, sea temp, sewage, rain (or the EA forecast, never both) and a little for the drive. × = ruled out (discharging now, or a thunderstorm)
24 min real drive time, not straight-line — over-an-hour spots are dropped
band on the tide curve: every swimmable window at that spot (springs shrink them on a flat beach), the one we're recommending ruled on top · dashed lines = now, and where scoring stops · ☀ 🌙 sunrise and sunset · shaded = night
🌅 / 🌆 dawn / dusk swim (allowed & flagged); night is excluded
dashed beach type is our guess — tap it on the tide row to set it (flat / mixed / steep). It sets how wide the tide window is

EA the Environment Agency's own evidence for this beach: the last lab sample of the water (real, but taken fortnightly and only May–September) and today's pollution risk forecast. Neither is scored — the forecast is modelled from much the same inputs we use
